Active substances & products

Vinitor manages active substances and plant protection products as the foundation for your tank mixes and spray plans. The master data comes from the BAES database (Bundesamt für Ernährungssicherheit). Plant protection products (products) can be supplemented as custom entries; active substances, on the other hand, are read-only and come entirely from the BAES database.

Active substances

Active substances are the active ingredients in plant protection products. The Active substances tab shows an alphabetically sorted, searchable list of all available active substances.

Use the search field to search specifically for active substances. With the sort button on the right, you can reverse the sort order.

Note

The active substance list is read-only and is fully maintained from the BAES database. The Create active substance button is currently disabled — creating your own active substances will be possible in a future version. You can currently only create custom entries for plant protection products.

Plant protection products

The Products tab shows all available plant protection products — both from the BAES database and custom entries.

List view

Each entry in the list shows:

Element	Description
Trade name	Name of the plant protection product
Registration number	Official BAES registration number (in brackets)
Active substances	Tags with the contained active ingredients
Product types	Coloured tags with the product types of the product (e.g. fungicide, insecticide, herbicide)

Custom products are displayed in their own Custom section at the beginning of the list and can be edited and deleted.

Via Show filter you can filter the list by product types. The search field searches both trade names and active substances.

Product types

Each plant protection product is assigned to one or more product types, which appear in the list and detail view as coloured tags. Vinitor has a total of 17 product types:

Pheromone, Insecticide, Plant growth regulator, Herbicide, Fungicide, Acaricide, Rodenticide, Repellent, Wildlife damage control agent, Bactericide, Viricide, Glues, Waxes, Tree resins, Nematicide, Molluscicide and Miscellaneous.

Detail view

Click on a product to open the detail view. The view is divided into two sections:

Basic data:

Field	Description
Trade name	Name of the plant protection product
Registration number	Official BAES registration number
Additional number	Additional registration number (if available)
Pre-harvest interval (days)	Waiting period in days after application
Notes	Free text for additional information

Configuration:

Section	Description
Active substances	List of contained active ingredients
Product types	Assignment to one or more of the 17 product types

Via Edit you can adjust custom products. Via Delete you remove a custom product. Official BAES products cannot be deleted.

Tip

If a required plant protection product is not in the BAES database, you can record it as a custom product via Create plant protection product.
